Preparing for the funeral of a loved one may be one of the most difficult things we do in our lives. In the midst of our personal grief, we are called upon to pause and consider what our loved one would want for a final farewell, what will speak most strongly about that person’s life and how we want him/her to be remembered. There are so many decisions, so many people with questions, and so many tears yet to be shed.
Our Resurrection Life Ministers are here to help walk families through this process and assist with any questions that may arise as you plan for the final farewell for your loved one. Ministers meet with family members to plan the funeral liturgy. They answer questions and offer guidance in the selection of readings, music and intercessory prayer.
Some families/individuals, recognizing the nearness of death or just in an effort to prepare for a time in the future, choose to plan funerals prior to death. Our ministers are available to assist in this planning as well. If you would rather spend personal time in this planning, our Funeral Preparation page can assist you as you consider various options when planning a funeral.
